Abstract
Microstructure of 7475-T761 aviation aluminum alloy was studied by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), selective area electron diffraction (SAED), micro beam diffraction (μ-D), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and high angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM). The results show that the microstructure of the 7475-T761 aluminum alloy is mainly composed of dispersed phase, aging strengthening phase and impurity phase. The dispersed phase is E phase (Al18Cr2Mg3) with various morphology, and the η phase is easy to precipitate inhomogeneously at the E/Al interface. The aging strengthening phases are mainly composed of GPⅡ zones, η' phase and η phase. The impurity phases are mainly composed of Al7Cu2Fe, FeAl3 and Si-rich phases.
