Abstract

To reduce the vibration and noise of spiral bevel gear transmission system, the meshing impact model of spiral bevel gear considering tooth deformation is built based on the meshing characteristic of spiral bevel gears and machinery dynamics.Based on tooth contact analysis (TCA) and loaded tooth contact analysis (LTCA),the position and meshing stiffness of the initial meshing point are calculated, and the meshing impact is also worked out.The influences of rotational speed and load torque on the meshing impact are also analyzed. The research shows that both load torque and rotational speed have significant influences on the meshing impact.Under the condition of no edge contact, with the increase of load torque, the initial meshing point moves gradually to the active tooth root, and the impact velocity increases gradually, which leads to the increase of the meshing impact. The increase of the input rotational speed will increase the impact speed directly, and then increase the meshing impact. The influence of the rotational speed on the impact force is larger than the load torque.
