Yttria nanopowders manufactured by the combustion synthesis process of yttrium citrate-urea

摘要

A new precursor was obtained by adding urea to the original yttrium citrate precursor. The Y2O3 nanopowder was synthesized by the combustion process of both precursors at 500°C, 600°C, 700°C and 800°C, respectively. The synthesis mechanism of the Y2O3 nanopowder is discussed based on the results of XRD and TEM. The particle size of the Y2O3 nanopowder synthesized by the combustion process of yttrium citrate with urea is finer than that of the Y2O3 nanopowder synthesized by the combustion process of yttrium citrate without urea at the same temperature.
