Tube-Based Model Predictive Control for Aero-Engine Transient-State Tracking Problems

摘要

Transient-state control is one of the most important parts in aero-engine design, which determines the performance of an aero-engine. In recent years, MPC has been widely studied due to its excellent ability to handle constraints in control processes. Tube-MPC, as a type of robust MPC, is more suitable for aero-engines by treating the differences between engine models and real engines as uncertainties. Thus, this paper aims to design a Tube-based model predictive controller for aero-engine transient control to ensure good engine performance. A LPV model based on the nonlinear model of the aero-engine will be established in this paper, then construct an engine transition state controller based on the Tube-MPC algorithm. In the end, a numerical simulation example is presented to show the effectiveness of the designed method. The simulation results show that the engine can work safely and stably during acceleration and deceleration, while its control performance can fully meet the expected requirements.
