Subsurface Structure Detection Based On Space-borne Multistatic VHF-Band SAR Tomography

摘要

Due to the severe attenuation, current remote sensing satellites cannot provide the required depth and resolution for subsurface detection. Spaceborne multistatic SAR tomography technology has the potential to fulfill detective requirements for high spatial resolution and large depth with high frequency (HF) band or very high frequency (VHF) band. In this paper, a novel model for desert subsurface target detection is constructed, where multiple images of the same scene are generated using echo data from each radar receiver from various altitudes. Then the images are aligned using image registration and deramping operations. The separation of overlapping targets is achieved through focusing operations on the vertical dimension. Finally, the 3D reconstruction results of different spectral estimation algorithms are obtained and the factors affecting the resolution are analyzed.
