Study on the state-switched multi-mode piezoelectric shunt vibration control technique

摘要

The vibration suppression principle and realization of the state-switched multiple-mode piezoelectric shunt damping system is experimentally studied. A state-switched multi-mode piezoelectric shunt circuit based on the metallic oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET) is built. A frequency adaptive controller is designed, which can change the output time and the duration of the pulse control signal in real time with the change of the vibration frequency, thus the vibration response of each mode can be suppressed better by this state-switched piezoelectric shunt circuit. As an example for verifying the performance of this multi-mode vibration control method, the vibration control experiments on a cantilever beam with state-switched piezoelectric shunt circuit was performed. The results show that the resonant vibrations of 5 modes of the beam can be suppressed by about 7.72 dB, 3.97 dB, 1.23 dB, 5.03 dB and 4.14 dB reductions respectively. The test results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of multi-mode frequency adaptive vibration control with state-switched piezoelectric shunt damping system.
