摘要

A new sliding mode control method involving fuzzy adaptive regulation of reaching law was presented for seismically-excited building structures. The excessive chattering effect-the major disadvantage of conventional sliding mode control methods, was avoided by introducing the new method without losing the robustness against parametric uncertainties. Considering that, for practical implementations of active control systems in large civil engineering structures, it may not be practical to install great number of sensors to measure the full-state vector, a static output feedback controller based on the new sliding mode control method was presented. In order to verify the feasibility and robustness of the proposed control method, numerical simulations were given for MDOF (multiple-degree-of-freedom) shear building model containing an active brace system. The simulation results show that the method is quite effective: it can reduce the peak-response of the ground motion, and keep the chattering effect sufficiently low so as to ensure the system stable.
