Simulation study for free spanning VIV displacement reconstruction method based on novel integration in time domain

摘要

Vortex-induced vibration (VIV) is one of the important factors that lead to the free spanning system fatigue damage. The displacement reconstruction which cased by VIV become the main topic in free spanning pipelines fatigue damage monitoring. However, reconstructed the VIV displacement through direct double integrating the vibrate acceleration signal may be lead to the results are not reliable and accurate. In this paper, a new displacement reconstruction algorithm in time domain is presented, firstly we remove trend terms by polynomial least square curve fitting technique, we obtain corrected acceleration, then we apply frequency and time domain hybrid integral method to reconstruct VIV displacement. To verify the proposed algorithm, numerical simulation is carried out.
