摘要
The effect of cold working and aging on the hardening properties of Cu-0.72Cr-0.19Zr-0.06Mg alloy is investigated. It is found that the hardness depends mainly on the microstructure of the materials, which in turn depends on the cold working and aging treatment. Upon working at 45% and aging at 450°C for 1 h, the expanded dislocation and the pinning effect of the precipitates on the dislocations strongly inhibit recrystallization resulting in aging hardening. The hardness reaches 172.5 HV. On working at 60% and aging at 600°C for 2 h, the hardness goes down to 172.5 HV due to the recrystallization.
