N2 - To share and reuse valuable data and experiential knowledge adequately, employing with object-oriented programming language C#, based on Visual Studio. NET developing environment and SQL Server 2000 database, thin-walled tube NC bending database management system TUBE was studied and developed in this paper. A great number of processing parameters and forming results optimized by simulation and experiment are stored in TUBE; the operations such as query, addition, modification and deletion were realized in TUBE. Especially for the record which couldn't be found in TUBE, the pre-forming design will be accomplished according to the forming limit and the existed or deduced defects knowledge in TUBE. The results obtained from pre-forming operation could be extended to TUBE and give a quick and effective guide to practice.
