N2 - The research background and significance of structure dynamic optimization are described briefly. According to the authors' research practice, a series of recent progresses on structural dynamic design is introduced as follows: the design method with the mean square response as the constraint under random excitation, structural dynamic shape optimization, structural dynamic topology optimization, the property of the constraints and the existence of the optimal solution, the integrated optimization of structure and control. A prospect for the future development is presented briefly too.
