Preparation and properties of magnetic ionic liquids

摘要

Because of its wide liquid range, low vapor pressure, excellent solubility and high ionic conductivity, magnetic ionic liquid has attracted more and more attention in recent years. Two kinds of magnetic ionic liquid, [C4mim] FeCl4 and [C4mim] FeBrCl3, were synthesized via a simple two-step method. Magnetic ILs were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR and Raman. In addition, magnetic properties, density, and adsorption properties of volatile organic gases as acetone, ethanol were studied. The study finds that magnetic ionic liquid [C4mim] FeBrCl3 has larger density than [C4mim] FeCl4. The densities of these two magnetic ILs has a linearly downward trend with increasing temperature; two magnetic ionic liquids at room temperature are paramagnetic; acetone exhaust emissions can be sbsorbed remarkablly, while these two MILs have little absorption of ethanol.
