Parameter-independent Back Electromotive Force Information Estimation Method of the Main Exciter of the Brushless Synchronous Starter Generator

摘要

Sensorless starting control of the brushless synchronous starter generator by using the main exciter (ME) as a position sensor is an emerging advanced technology. The back electromotive force (EMF) of ME is the key for position estimation. The back-EMF of ME is usually obtained by the observers and thus the parameters of ME are needed. Therefore, mismatched parameters would lead to an estimation error of the back-EMF and then the rotor position. According to the waveform characteristics of the back-EMF of ME, this paper proposes a parameter-independent method to extract the back-EMF information of ME. The effectiveness of this method is verified by experiment results.
