Overview of Modeling and Simulation Methods for Bullet Impact Dynamics of Composite Material Plates

摘要

With the advancement of modern bulletproof research and composite materials science, the combination of different materials and the design of internal mechanical properties of the same material need to be considered. With the increasing complexity of composite material bulletproof research, the method of constructing a dynamic model of composite material plate impact and conducting finite element simulation analysis to study the material damage mechanism and bulletproof performance is gradually taking the lead. This article summarizes the common material choices in constructing the dynamic model of composite material plate impact, and summarizes the constitutive and damage models commonly used in metal materials, ceramic materials, and polymer fiber materials. In addition, this article also discusses the current research status in the field of composite material plate bullet impact, and lists the research results on the influence of different material combinations, composite material layer angles, and thicknesses on bulletproof effects. However, there is still a lack of precise and unified induction and organization of constitutive and damage models used for different materials, and a lack of comprehensive and multi-dimensional research on the anti ballistic performance of complex materials. The purpose of this review is to provide direction for future research on dynamic simulation of bullet impact composite material plates, and to promote further optimization and innovation.
