New technologies for bone diseases

摘要

Bone disease is a general term for many orthopedic diseases. The most common clinical bone diseases are osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fracture, osteosarcoma, and so on. The mechanisms of bone diseases are unclear, thus there is an urgent need to unravel their pathogenesis to find new treatment options. Fortunately, with the rapid development of computer science, more new methods such as artificial intelligence (AI) and omics techniques are being used for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of bone diseases. This chapter focuses on current new technologies in bone diseases. It discusses the application and prospects of AI technology, single-cell sequencing technology, and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in bone diseases, which may provide new insights into the analysis of bone diseases.
