Narrow Band VHF High-Temperature Superconducting Filter Design Based on LaAlO3

摘要

This paper presents a superconducting filter with a band width of 1 MHz at 40 MHz on a LaAlO3 substrate. In the design of filter, the spiral feedline structure is extended into the spiral resonator to realize the required external coupling. Furthermore, a cross-coupling line is added to the eight-pole filter to introduce a pair of transmission zeros, which can improve the band-edge steepness. The filter is successfully designed and fabricated in a compact size of 50 mm × 20 mm (0.0988λg×0.0395λg). The measured results agree well with the simulated ones, the insertion loss is less than 0.03 dB and the return loss is better than -14 dB.
