High temperature creep behavior of Ti40 alloys

摘要

The high temperature creep behavior of Ti40 alloy was studied. The steady creep rate, the stress exponent and the apparent creep activation energy Q, were calculated in the temperature range of 460°C-540°C and at different stresses. The value of Q is 94.0kJ/mol. On this basis the creep strengthening mechanism was also studied. The creep behavior of Ti40 alloy in the range of 460°C-540°C is controlled by double mechanisms of dislocation and diffusion. The boundary slip also has some contribution to creep. Its creep property at 620°C is not good at present experimental conditions.
