Extended Power Rectifier Designed for Wireless Power and Information Transfer Based on Second Harmonic Backscatters

摘要

A high-efficiency rectifier with a novel diplexer is proposed in this work to apply for wireless power and information transfer based on the second harmonic. The diplexer is implemented by a hybrid coupler and two quarter wavelength short stubs to enable high isolation of its power carrier frequency and second harmonic generated by the nonlinearity of power amplifier (PA), which is used to carry the power and the signal, respectively. Couplers are also implemented to improve the working power of the system. The rectifier and diplexer are demonstrated to be in good agreement with simulation. The input power and efficiency of the proposed rectifier is 21dBm and 78.8% in 2.45GHz.
