Enhancement of electron injection in organic light-emitting devices using an Ag/LiF cathode

摘要

An enhanced electroluminescent (EL) performance of organic light emitting devices (OLED) containing a Ag/LiF cathode structure was analyzed. It was found that the efficiency of electron injection from the cathode depends on the thickness of the LiF buffer layer. A brigthness of 16,000 cd/m2 and EL efficiency of 4.8 cd/A was achieved with an Ag/LiF cathode. This dependence of electron injection of the LiF thickness can be understood using the tunneling model.
