摘要

316L stainless steel with and without surface palladium/ferrum (Pd/Fe) film was used to conduct hemolysis test. The leaching liquor was extracted to conduct cytotoxicity test including morphologic observation, tetrazolium based colorimetric assay (MTT assay) and cellular relative growth rate (RGR) calculation. The aim of this study was to investigate and evaluate the effects of surface Pd/Fe film on the biocompatibility of 316L stainless steel. The results showed that compared with the uncoated 316L stainless steel, hemolysis of 316L stainless steel with Pd/Fe film significantly decreased, while the quantity of surface cells and the cellular RGR significantly increased. The results indicated that surface Pd/Fe film can significantly improve the biocompatibility of 316L stainless steel.
