摘要
In order to improve interface bonding between fiber and matrix and mechanical property of carbon/carbon composites, three kinds of surface treatment were applied to carbon fibers. The results showed that the surface of fiber became rough after the treatment at 2200°C under inert gas, which formed a strong bonding in as-prepared C/C composites. The flexural strength of C/C composites was improved by 75% than that of the C/C composites reinforced by fiber of no surface treatment. The surface of fiber had more notches after the treatment at 400°C under atmosphere gas, which formed a moderate bonding in as-prepared C/C composites and the flexural strength was improved by 43% than that of the C/C composites reinforced by fiber of no surface treatment. The smooth surface of fiber after the treatment at 1700°C under inert gas formed a weak bonding in as-prepared C/C composite and the flexural strength was lower than that of C/C composites reinforced by fiber of no surface treatment.
