摘要
Copper dual disks are widely used in high-speed and heavy-load condition due to good thermal conductivity and stable friction coefficient. However, they are vulnerable to be damaged due to low hardness. In this study, a new kind of friction material was prepared by using polydopamine (PDA) modified boron nitride (BN) nanosheets to improve its tribological properties when paired with copper dual discs. The results showed improved shear strength, thermal conductivity and excellent wear resistant of the composites with the addition of PDA@BN. The wear rate of copper dual disc was maximally reduced by 55.68% from 2.03 × 10−7 to 0.90 × 10−7 cm3/J. Furthermore, adding PDA@BN could facilitate the formation of lubricating film, thereby reducing the adhesion of copper metal.
