Direction Finding for Bistatic MIMO Radar Using a Sparse Moving Array With Sensor Position Errors

摘要

In this letter, synthetic aperture technology is applied to bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar, where sensor position errors caused by sparse array motion are considered. We first set signals emitted by the transmit array to be periodic, and the receive array moves at a certain speed to perform synthetic aperture processing, which can increase the degrees of freedom and expand the visual array aperture for the radar. On this basis, we consider sensor position errors caused by array motion and propose a new self-calibration algorithm to obtain accurate angle estimates. The proposed algorithm can still approach the ideal situation well in the presence of sensor position errors. Simulation results verify the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed algorithm.
