Design and optimization of a two-disk rotor system based on NSGA_II

In order to reduce the overall vibration of a two-disk rotor system, an integrated analytical method was proposed to optimize the two-disk rotor system under the aero-engine support structure of typical 1-0-1 with multidisciplinary optimization software Isight and general finite element software ANSYS. The positions of the two disks were selected as the optimization variables, the first critical speed with the variation range of 10% was set as the constraint, and the optimization objective was to minimize the amplitudes of the two disks crossing the first critical speed with Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA_II). In order to verify the validity of the design optimization, the transient test was carried out on a high-speed flexible rotor mockup. The maximum amplitude of disk 1 cross first critical speed fell by 77% and the maximum amplitude of disk 2 decreased by 68% after optimization. Experimental results indicate that the optimization method could obtain the positions of the flexible rotor with the minimum amplitude effectively, accurately and rapidly, and improve the design efficiency and quality.
