Deformability of β phase in Ti-42.9Al-4.6Nb-2Cr at elevated temperature

摘要

In this work, EBSD and TEM technologies were used to reveal the deformability of β phase, and the coordination deformation mechanism between the β phase and the γ phase in the isothermal compression of Ti-42.9Al-4.6Nb-2Cr with duplex structure. It was noteworthy that all Schmid factors for slip systems were larger than 0.25 in the β phase with random orientations, which was ascribed to the BCC structure in terms of the crystal theory. The coordination deformation mechanism between the β phase and the γ phase was mainly achieved through the fast CDRX rate of the β phase.
