Calculating model of rotating radial orifices for flow characteristics

摘要

The aim of this work was to meet the needs of air system one-dimensional simulation. By analyzing the main factors influencing the flow characteristics, the calculating model of radial orifice was built, considering the inlet pre-swirl and axial cross-flow. Then, by using Simulink the simulation model was established to calculate the air flow rate and discharge coefficient of radial orifice. The calculating model of radial orifice for flow characteristics was validated by experimental results from the published literature. The results indicate that under the same conditions, the maximum error between the model and experimental results is less than 6.2%, and the minimum error is about 0.3%. Consequently, the model of radial orifice is considered to be reliable and it can be used as a general model in air system analysis, and improve modeling and calculation efficiency.
