Armature Current Minimization Control Method for Aircraft Two-Stage HVDC Starter-Generator System in Wide-Speed-Range Generation State

摘要

Aiming at the aircraft two-stage high-voltage direct current (HVDC) integrated starter-generator (ISG) system, this paper proposes a control method for armature current minimization and stabilized power generation based on PWM rectification and excitation regulation. Based on the structural principle and mathematical model of the two-stage HVDC ISG system, the optimization problem of armature current minimization is analyzed and solved from a mathematical point of view, and then the control method of the minimum armature current of the main machine (MM) in the wide-speed range power generation state is derived. The proposed method can realize fast dynamic response performance while keeping the armature current minimized in a wide speed range for the two-stage HVDC ISG, which is of great significance for reducing the stator copper loss and the burden of rectified power devices of the system. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by simulation and comparative analysis.
