Analysis of Tooth Profile Influencing Factors and Meshing Characteristics for Trochoidal Roller Pinion Rack Transmissions

摘要

This paper has taken the trochoidal roller pinion rack transmission as the research object. Firstly, the influencing factors of tooth shape are fitted and the influencing laws are obtained by analyzing the operation results; Secondly, based on the trochoidal tooth profile equations, the curvature and curvature radius equations are derived, the factors influencing the variation of radius of curvature and their influencing rules are obtained, then the root-cutting characteristics are analyzed; Finally, the influencing factors for the meshing characteristics of pressure angle and contact ratio are systematically analyzed by MATLAB. The results show that improving the transmission efficiency can be attained by increasing the number of rollers and reducing the rack profile offset coefficient appropriately; Increasing contact ratio can be achieved by increasing the roller numbers, roller diameter coefficient, addendum height coefficient and reducing tooth profile offset coefficient.
