摘要

The objectives are to describe the stress distribution at countersunk fastener holes, to validate the availability of the multi-axial fatigue life predicating method. Both experimental and computational studies are described and compared when possible. The results show that: 1. Fatigue failure usually starts at the locations near the holes where two bones meet each other. 2. Countersunk fastener joint make the peak value of the stress appear at the locations near the holes where two bones meet each other. 3. The error of the method based on both stress and strain used for predicting fatigue life of this type of specimens is 14.5%.
