Al2O3 nanoparticles induced high dezincification corrosion resistance of 71 wt.% Cu-Zn alloy

摘要

An extraordinary dezincification corrosion resistance of 71 wt.% Cu-Zn alloy is designed by adding Al2O3 nanoparticles. The dezincification corrosion resistance, weight loss per unit, microstructures are investigated to reveal the effect of Al2O3 nanoparticles on the modification of 71 wt.% Cu-Zn alloy. Results indicate that: The average depth of dezincification corrosion resistance is decreased by 41.38% and weight loss per unit is decreased by 70.88% by adding Al2O3 nanoparticles. Grains are refined and more uniformly distributed to enhance the dezincification corrosion resistance. The temperature of phase transition and melting point are decreased by 67.9 °C and 72.9 °C to gain the higher dezincification corrosion resistance, respectively.
