Abstract

In order to improve efficiency of vibration energy harvesting and study effect of ambient exciting force and storage energy load, a low power synchronized switch control circuit of parallel inductor was proposed, it consisted of a current shunt monitor, a comparator, a microcomputer and a bidirectional electronic switch. When the microcomputer turned on or off the switch at the appropriate time according to the interrupt signal generated by the comparator, the control method for parallel synchronized switch harvesting on inductor(SSHI) could be achieved. In the case that the energy storage unit was considered as a load of SSHI, the effects of rectified voltage, piezoelectric oscillator capacitor, the amplitude and frequency of excitation on the efficiency were analyzed. The experimental results showed that the proposed method can improve the vibration harvesting efficiency in case of higher rectified voltage, smaller excitation amplitude, larger capacitor and excitation frequency; meanwhile, the results provide a theoretical basis for the application of SSHI.
