Transport and magnetic critical current normal to ab-plane for textured YBa2Cu3O7-x

Abstract

The authors prepared YBa2Cu3O7-x(YBCO) samples with large size in c axis by powder melt procession (PMP) and measured Jcc,ab electrically and magnetically. The J cc,ab of 2*104A/cm2 and field dependence are obtained. The microstructure of the PMP samples was examined. The authors found the sample with fewer normal particles and more apparent cracks in the ab planes had smaller Jcc,ab. The influence of normal particle on crack and Jc and the effect of pinning on anisotropy of Jc are discussed.
