Abstract

For the problem that the detection of wideband target echo signals under low signal to reverberation plus noise ratio (SRNR) is very difficult, a scheme of time-frequency analysis detection for underwater acoustic signals based on wideband beamformer outputs is proposed in this paper, which combines time-domain wideband constant beamwidth beamforming (WCBB) together with time-frequency analysis. The computer simulation results under low SRNR show that, this scheme can improve the performance of time-frequency analysis detection for underwater acoustic signals.
