Abstract
The microstructures of cross section of Cf/SiC composites were investigated by SEM, and the effect of different heat treatments on their performances were studied. The results showed that a higher pressure and higher temperature could shrink inner pores of the composites during the pyrolysis process of the matrix, even make the pores vanished. And the interface between fiber and matrix became smooth and Cf/SiC composites got good performances. In addition, the densification procedure between fiber bundles should be noticed especially.
