Abstract

This paper presents the VLSN (very large scale neighborhood) search algorithm for weapon-target assignment problem in multi-fighters air combat. First, an intercept time method to evaluate the fighters' situation is brought up according to the character of Beyond Visual Range Air Combat. Second, the process of VLSN to search the best solution for target assignment is presented and meantime the parallel computation is introduced into the VLSN in order to minimize the searching time. Finally, numerical simulation results demonstrate that the VLSN is more efficient and costs less time compared with other algorithms.
