Abstract
Bent parts have been widely applied in various industrial fields due to their excellent performance. It is an effectual approach for studying tube bending problem by using finite element method (FEM). One of the key problems of numerical simulation of NC tube bending is extracting and operating result data efficiently. In this paper, a post-process module for tube bending has been second-developed on ABAQUS by using Python. According to the common quality index in NC tube bending, some practical post-process functions are accomplished, include calculating section flat ratio, wall thickness change ratio, springback angle after unloading and estimating wrinkle or not. At the same time, a friendly graphical user interface (GUI) is developed to enhance the practicability of the post-process module. The second-developed frame of the post-process for tube bending can also be extended to other plastic processes.
