Abstract

The stability of moderately thick composite laminates under axial compression loading and shear loading is analyzed by means of linear buckling analytical method and arc-length method. The first order buckling mode and buckling equilibrium path are presented. Under axial compression loading, the laminates can not take on any increasing load after they lost stability, but Laminates are impossible lost stability under shear loading.
