Abstract

Simulation of binaural hearing environment is an important approach for the design and assessment of sound fields in buildings or cabins. To consider the differences among persons, the multivariable regression analysis and a selected database matching algorithm were used to predict the personalized head-related impulse responses based on the measured data, then the predicted data were combined with the calculated impulse response to simulate the binaural hearing environment. The listening tests show that this method can effectively model the sound filed in a cabin.
