Abstract

The arbitrarily shaped object can be coded preserving visual texture information and introducing no redundancy. Transforming arbitrarily shaped object will bring a little change because of the variety of sequence length and subsample location, which was resolved by the method that arbitrarily shaped mask images were transformed through lazy wavelet and shape adaptive wavelet transform was resolved by lift-based wavelet of 9-7 filter banks. Arbitrarily shaped object texture was coded and compressed by the modified shape adaptive SPIHT algorithm.
