Abstract
Focusing on the AMD active mass damper benchmark problem, H∞ control theory is introduced into structural control field and a feasible active control algorithm is put forward. The detail of selecting weighting functions in H∞ control is presented and the output feedback controller based on DGKF method is designed. A fourth order controller is achieved by balanced truncation procedure. The simulation results show that the H∞ control method is effective and robust.
