Abstract

Satellite navigation system signals are easily suppressed by radio frequency interference due to their long transmission distance and weak reception power. To solve this problem, an interference suppression method based on the polarization diversity antenna is proposed in this paper. The mathematical model of the received RHCP, LHCP, and LP signal is derived by considering the radiation pattern and polarization of the receiving antenna, and a signal processing method based on least mean square is also described, which has similar functions to STAP. Without any prior knowledge of the interference direction or polarization, an optimal weight vector can be obtained, and a single weight vector can simultaneously generate a spatial null for wideband interference and multiple frequency notches for narrowband interference signal frequencies.
