Abstract
As an advanced casting technique, adjusted pressure casting have the advantages of higher filling capacity and better feeding capacity, which is expected to play an important role on the manufacturing of large-scale complicated thin-walled components of magnesium alloys. The filling capacity of adjusted pressure casting was compared with the low-pressure casting, counter-pressure casting and gravity casting through pouring thin-wall board sample of magnesium alloys. It is shown that, due to the lowest cavity pressure provided, the filling capacity of adjusted pressure casting is the best among the investigated casting methods.
