Research and implementation of resource virtualization in multicluster under grid environment

Abstract

It is in favor of maximizing job throughput and utilization rate of resources to combine with cluster workload management (WLM) scheduling job based on grid sharing distributed resource in company. Currently, company or university has distributed cluster systems managed by various WLMs, so that it is more difficult to interactive operate between grid underlying platform and WLM. We design resource adjustor (RA) on Northwestern Polytechnical University Grid to mask distributed WLMs, eliminate 'Information Island' and implement resource virtualization. It can improve system efficiency by adaptive mechanism of RA which describes dynamic of resource accurately.
