Abstract

Graphene is the first free-standing 2D atomic crystal which has been found so far. It possesses many advantages such as extraordinary thermal, chemical and mechanical stability of graphene, combined with its high transparency, good conductivity, low cost and flexibility. These advantages make it be one of the most promising and emerging material for fabrication of transparent and conductive films for future optoelectronic devices. This review presents the current status of fabrication of graphene with mono to a few layers and the resulting transparent and conductive graphene films. Finally, further applications based on graphene transparent electrode are briefly introduced.
