Real-time face tracking system based on 3D histogram combining with facial features

Abstract

Considering the difficulty of the balance of real-time property and precision property of face tracking, a new face tracking method based on 3D histogram skin colors model combined with facial feature extracted was introduced. With the help of grid mapping miniature and prediction of motion vector and emendation of parameters of search window, an integrated real-time face tracking system was implemented. The result demonstrates that it could get over the influence of the complicated background to pick up and track human face exactly as a real-time and robust system.
