Abstract

As an old member of excellent conductive materials, graphene was selected as one of the materials for the preparation process of this research. Magnetic ferrites have always been one of the candidates for absorbing materials due to their excellent magnetic loss. Based on the rGO/CoFe2O4 (Cr) composite material prepared by the one-step hydrothermal method, three groups of rGO/CoFe2O4/Ag (CAr) with different Ag+ content were prepared by controlling the addition amount of Ag+. And the final prepared rGO/CoFe2O4/Ag-1 (CAr-1) exhibited extremely excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance. The effective reflection loss under the optimal thickness can be obtained by adjusting the thickness. When its thickness is 2.1 mm, the best reflection loss at 13.1 GHz is − 56.5 dB, and the maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) is 4.0 GHz (11.1–15.1 GHz). It provides a feasible solution for the development and research of electromagnetic absorption materials. Under the synergistic effect of ferrite magnetic particles with excellent magnetic effect, Ag particles with dielectric loss and graphene, the electromagnetic wave absorption of the material is well improved.
