Abstract

Si (OC₂H₅)₄, Ca(NO₃)₂ and P₂O₅ were used as strarting materials for preparation of bioglass precursor powder by sol-gel method. In the experiment, the effect of several factors on properties of bioglass precursor powder has been studies systemically. Some results show that droping order of alcohol salt or their mixture, H₂O quantity, pH value and ageing condition are key factors which can affect the property of bioglass precursor powder. Optimal parameters have been obtianed. In addition, the reaction mechanism has been studied.
