Abstract

The gel polymer electrolyte was prepared with the copolymer P (MMA-MAh) as resin, PC as a plasticizer and LiClO4 as a salt. The electricial properties and thermal properties of the gel polymer electrolyes were studied by alternating current impedance, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), together the influence of different ratio and temperature on conductivities of the gel polymer electrolytes were studied. Results showed that the freeding films of the GPE based on P (MMA-MAh) was better than GPE based on pure PMMA-based GPE. The glass transition temperature was 27.28°C and the thermal degradation temperature was 145°C when the mass loss percent was 5.0% of the GPE for containing 60 wt.% P (MMA-MAh). The properties of gel polymer electrolyte is best for containing 45 wt.% P (MMA-MAh). The temperature dependence of the conductivity of the GPE obey the Arrhenius relationship.
