Abstract

The solidification process, element microsegregation matrix of Haynes230 superalloy have been investigated by differential thermal analysis (DTA), optical microscope, X-ray diffraction, SEM and EDS. The results show that the cast structure of Haynes 230 alloy is constitute of γ matrix, M6C carbide and bcc W(Cr) The solidification sequence W(Cr) Haynes230 superalloy is as follow: L → L+γ → L+(γ+M6C)+γ → M6C+W(Cr)+γ.
