Abstract

To meet the needs of resource optimization configuration in e-manufacturing mode, according to the characteristics of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipments, an e-service model for setting up a Web portal of the CNC equipment was put forward. To realize effective discovery of CNC equipments, CNC equipments were firstly classified, then the concepts and property relationships of these CNC equipments were analyzed. Semantic description for the CNC equipment was implemented by constructing domain ontology. An algorithm to compute the similarity between semantic Web services based on Generalized Cosine-Similarity Measure (GCSM) and the shortest route method for weighted directed graph was designed. A framework supporting e-formalization CNC equipments knowledge description and reuse was designed. Finally, a prototype was developed with Java technology, and a case study was given to demonstrate above-mentioned ideas.
